Windows Ultrabook deals

Windows Ultrabooks are great computers. If you can score one during Cyber Week, it would be a worthwhile buy. Our experts praise its long-battery life, powerful features and affordability. You’ll likely find Ultrabook deals at most stores, including Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 (11th Gen i7, 16 GB RAM, 1TB SSD)
Deal price: $1140; street price: $1750
Read our review of the best ultrabooks.

Down to just $1200 with excellent specs, this is the laptop deal we've been most excited to see this Cyber Monday. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 (i7, 16 GB RAM, 1TB SSD) usually goes for hundreds more. This model is the upgrade pick in our business laptop guide, and everything from its keyboard to its taller display fit the bill for us. Use code HOLIDAYSURPRISE in addition to the code THINKBFDEAL12 to drop the price to $1140, easily as good as we've seen for this model.

HP Pavilion Aero 13z-be000 Laptop (8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD)
Deal price: $550; street price: $700
Read our review of the best Windows Ultrabook.

When you're looking for a budget ultrabook, the HP Pavilion Aero is a pretty solid choice. While the Pavilion Aero feels cheaper than the sturdy metal chassis of the Yoga 7i (our budget ultrabook pick), it usually costs less. Light and compact, the Aero has a decent battery life (about 10 hours from our tests), and it offers a decent unlit keyboard and trackpad. Do note that this device does not include a USB-C charger in the package.

Razer Book 13-Inch Laptop (11th Gen i5, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD)
Deal price: $1000; street price: $1200
Read our review of the best Windows Ultrabook.

TheRazer Book 13 isn’t better than our top Windows Ultrabook picks at most things, but it does have a customizable RGB keyboard and a variety of ports. It's slightly heavier with slightly worse battery life than our pick, but it is compact and offers a reliable trackpad, nice display, and nearly all the ports your heart could desire. This model comes with an 11th gen intel i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, a 256 GB SSD, and Intel Iris Xe Graphics, so despite the Razer name, you're unlikely to be playing games at peak frame rates.

Acer Aspire A515-45-R2B5 15" Laptop (Ryzen 5 5500U; 8GB RAM; 512GB SSD)
Deal price: $500; street price: $600
Read our review of the best laptop under $500.

Not exactly an ultrabook, but if you need a laptop and only have $500 to spend, this option provides solid value for the money, especially if you prefer a larger 15.6" screen. You'll sacrifice portability as this laptop is also pretty heavy, but for the money, you're getting a new Ryzen processor, more storage than you'd expect, and a solid if unspectacular chassis. The keyboard and screen aren't great, but the internals are surprisingly good. This model is comparable to (with better specs than) the Acer Aspire 5 A515-56-34A3 we covered in our guide to laptops under $500.

If you want to find discounts on MacBooks, you should probably start with stores like B&H Photo. Though the deals won’t be higher than $100 off, it’s still worth trying to get a rare holiday bargain. And don’t worry if searching for deals sounds a little overwhelming. We’re on the hunt and we’ll keep you posted on the best MacBook deals we can find.

Apple MacBook Air (2020, M1, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD)
Deal price: $800 (Costco membership required; delayed shipping); street price: $925
Read our review of the best MacBooks.

If you have a Costco membership, you can get an additional $50 off the 2020 Apple MacBook Air. This well-balanced MacBook is specced with an eight-core Apple M1 CPU processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. Between its snappy performance, comfortable keyboard, and decent storage space, we think the Air is the best all-around option for most people. The only real downside we've noted is that some Mac apps have yet to be optimized for the new M1 chip, so you may notice some lag until they're updated. This $800 deal for Costco members matches the previous lowest price we've seen for this configuration.

Business laptop deals

If you work from home, you’ve probably thought about buying a business laptop. The business-catered devices are great for upping the ante when it comes to work flow and efficiency. We’ve found that sites like Lenovo Direct or Ebay are carrying the best deals this Cyber Week.

We are currently searching for the best deals on Wirecutter picks in this category and will add them here if we find them.

Gaming laptop and computer deals

Looking to up your entertainment game? Well, gaming laptops are a great start. The must-have devices are trendy, high-performing, and good for taking your gaming to champion level. However, it may not be easy to find deals on the popular devices. They are rather expensive. So you’ll most likely find deals that are very small and not worth your investment. Still, we’ll keep our eye out for any standout deals throughout Cyber Week.

Chromebook deals

If you‘re looking for a great laptop alternative, Chromebooks are your best bet. We expect Chromebooks to be a Cyber Week hit this year with discounts available at stores like Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy.

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 (8 GB RAM, 256 GB)
Deal price: $600; street price: $800
Read our review of the best Chromebook.

Students looking for a fast and lightweight Chromebook for the new year are in luck. The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 is smaller, lighter, faster, and has a longer battery life than other Chromebooks we tested. Usually more expensive than our other picks, this price makes it more comparable to our other options, all while having twice as much RAM and more memory. Do note that this device is only equipped with USB-C ports so you'll need an adapter if you wish to use older peripherals.

Laptop accessory deals

Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard & Mouse (Best Buy)
Deal price: $80; street price: $100

Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard & Mouse (Amazon)
Deal price: $80; street price: $100

Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard & Mouse (eBay)
Deal price: $80; street price: $100
Read our review of the best ergonomic keyboard.

Though it's only partially split and you can't customize its tenting angle, the Microsoft Sculpt is a great affordable and wireless ergonomic keyboard option. Though we prefer the mechanical keys of other picks, the Sculpt is a great model for budget-conscious folks testing out the waters of ergonomic keyboards. Plus, it connects to your computer via a 2.4 GHz wireless USB dongle, so you don't have to worry about cluttering your space with additional wires. We have mixed feelings about the mouse included in this bundle, but it's a good value if you're interested in an all-in-one set.

SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD V2 (1 TB)
Deal price: $100 (Costco membership required); street price: $140
Read our review of the best portable SSD.

If you're looking for a fast and small device to help you move large files between computers, a portable SSD is your best option. Our runner-up pick, the SanDisk Extreme Portable v2 is a rugged drive that features a shock-, water-, and dust-resistant design. This pocket-sized SSD also features a handy carabiner loop and fast transfer speeds that match those of our top pick, it can also move your files either via USB-C or USB-3.2. Although it's only available for Costco members, this is the lowest price we've noted thus far for the 1 TB size.

Samsung T7 Touch Portable SSD (500 GB)
Deal price: $90; street price: $105
Read our review of the best portable SSD.

A portable solid state drive, or SSD is a quick and reliable way to move large files between computers. Samsung's follow-up to the T5—our previous top portable SSD pick— the T7 Touch is both slimmer and quite a bit faster on sequential reads and writes. In addition, the T7 Touch comes with an added fingerprint reader for extra data security. Another solid discount, it's back down to $90 in black and silver.

Crucial MX500 SSD (1 TB)
Deal price: $85; street price: $100
Read our review of the best SSDs.

Upgrading your older computer from a more traditional hard drive to a SATA SSD is a great way to improve its speed and performance. If you're looking for a solid-state drive replacement that will go easy on both your older computer and your wallet, we recommend the Crucial MX500 SSD (1 TB). Down to $85, this is just a few bucks shy of the lowest price we've seen for this size, making it a nice opportunity to snag our SSD pick for older computers.

Logitech C920S HD Pro Webcam with Privacy Shutter
Deal price: $55 (with code BCMAY22363); street price: $65
Read our review of the best webcams.

The Logitech C920S HD Pro is our top webcam pick thanks to its affordability and clear, natural-looking picture. For our cyber-security savvy readers, the C920S also comes with a physical lens cover, which means you no longer have to use tape or paper to block your camera when it's not in use. Back down to just shy of the lowest we've seen at $55 using code BCMAY22363, this is another excellent deal as webcam prices have generally risen in the past year.

Logitech HD Webcam C615
Deal price: $40; street price: $60
Read our review of the best webcams.

When keeping to a budget, the Logitech C615 is your best bet. The overall video quality doesn't match that of our top pick—it's not as sharp, autofocus is slower, and the auto white balance isn't as accurate—but it still has 1080p resolution and looked better than any other camera we tested under $50. In addition, this Logitech model has seen a pretty dramatic increase in street price since we last posted—so although this discount is far from the lowest price we've seen, it's the best price we've seen in nearly two years.

Topo Klettersack Backpack
Deal price: $100; street price: $170
Read our review of the best laptop backpacks.

Back down to $100, this lightweight and durable pack has a mountaineering look we love. It's not quite as standout as other top-of-the-line Topo gear—for instance, it uses plastic hardware—but it's available for a fraction of the price. Overall, this is a solid opportunity to save on a buy-it-for-life pick.
